I am still using SMART Notebook version 9.5 as I haven't got round yet to upgrading to version 10. I have heard that some people have had a few problems so I would appreciate your views.

Another thing that I had been putting off is practising with the screen capture tool, accessed via the little camera icon, which I had found confusing. I could never remember which button did what!

Well I have sorted it now in my mind and I have produced a Notebook file to help you if you are new to the tool or have a bad memory like me. Obviously it applies to Notebook 9.5, but I should imagine it will be the same for the latest version.

Basically I think the first button and the last buttons are probably the most useful.

The first button captures a rectangular screenshot of your choice:

1. Click on the camera icon
2. Switch to the page which has the image you want to capture
3. Click on the first button
4. Drag using the hairline cross cursor as a guide. The image transfers to your Notebook.

For the fourth button which is the freehand button, follow the same procedure.

The second button captures the viewing area of a webpage without the toolbars. To use this successfully follow these simple steps:

1. Click the camera icon.
2. Switch to the page you want to copy
3. Click the second button.
4. Click anywhere on the page you want to copy

For the third button, which captures the whole page, all you need to do is click the button. It automatically saves the page.
