If your pupils are between the ages of eight and fourteen you may like to have a crack at this year's AKGC Challenge 2009 where there are money prizes up for grabs.

It's a great opportunity for your pupils to use design-technology for a real purpose. This year, entrants need to design a 'spectacular' healthy breakfast which uses food from at least three of the main food groups. The site is packed with information to help including printable resources. The activity fits in really well with a healthy eating topic and who knows you may win some money too!

The competition is open to all UK primary and secondary secondary schools. This also includes special schools for which there are separate prizes. You have until 15th May 2009 to submit your entries.

 Good luck!
